Enhancing The Quality of Audio Devices
By Setiadi Skom
Having a room built specifically for entertainment has now become a particular trend and even needs when planning to build a house. This entertainment room doesn’t have to be filled only with home theater devices. Audio devices may also pace up the space. Just like the moviegoers, musicgoers also share the needs to have a special room they could use to enjoy their favourite songs and music. No wonder if their audio room is transformed like a mini concert room, able to present high quality sounds in order to maximally enjoy the songs. Classic, rock, jazz or whatever kind of favourite musics could now be heard stalwartly using those audio devices. One of the main requirement would naturally fall in choosing high quality speakers. Proper speaker placements would highly affecting the quality of the sounds. There are several ways known to do just that. One of them is by calculating and arranging the distance between speaker to be equal with the distance between the speaker and your listening spot. This method is no doubt adopting from home theatre placement method, in order to maximized the spreaded sounds in the entire room. If you only use two speakers, it would be better to place them on both side, parallel with your ears when sitting down at the listening spot, naturally in an equal distance. Room arrangements will also affecting the quality of the speakers. Wallpapered walls bounce sounds better than the walls without wallpaper because the bouncing sounds tend to get higher-pithed. Not advisable if you want to enjoy your musics. A little carpet in the room would be good. It functions just like the walls, making a better bass sounds.
